Next month will mark my 15th year on DA! Wow! And there are some of you have have been with me almost the entire ride. Thanks for hanging so long, guys! I really appreciate it!
So, the end of 2018 was fantastic for me. I got to strike another item off my bucket list and I illustrated a children's book. I'll be sure to post more info about that when it's available for sale, but it was a cute pet adoption story involving beagles. It was an absolute pleasure to illustrate!
I'm changing gears this year and backing off the comic a bit. I'm really going to try and retool things so I can sell physical copies at comic conventions, though the comic will still be available online. I haven't decided whether I'm going to continue updating it online or not. I'm running in to old doubts about the series and getting mired down by indecision.
So, in the meantime, I'm trying to bolster my presence in my community. I've already applied this year to be in an art/craft market in my neighborhood, for which I'll need to make some more images. I am back on the commission train and the first couple weeks of 2019 have been packed with commissions! The demand gives me hope and the income gives me a bit more room in my household budget. Definitely a bonus!
One of my resolutions this year was to get active in social media again. I was doing pretty well at the beginning of last year, but sort of fell off the wagon. I'll do my best to keep up with it! Granted, it's not as much fun as creating, but without the social media, there are no eyes on my art, so it's kind of crucial, right?
I hope you all had a fantastic holiday and that 2019 is being good to you. If you would like a commission or have any questions, hit me up!
