Ever find yourself in the middle of a project and suddenly get inspiration for something else entirely? No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't shake this idea, so I decided to get it down on paper. This is a visual experiement more than anything-- just to see how these two look together. Shino and Hinata from Naruto. Sorry for the sketchiness ^^ It really was just a quick doodle to get things out of my mind.

the sketchiness is perfect for this piece. What happened, she looks so frightened and sad? Shino's last fight on #74 was great :)

I really like their positioning -- its touching. I think the sketchiness and the neutral tones add to the mood.

...But you know what bothers me? I bet she can see all the bugs crawling around his chakra points. Yuck! ;)

Shino's just awesome and he doesn't get nearly enough love.

As for Hinata's expression... I'm not sure, it just sort of drew itself. I can't tell whether she's sad, horrified, or disgusted.

Damn, this is really beautiful! I can't even remember the last time I was so touched by something... And by the way, it's completely perfect just as sketchy as it is. I really, really love it! :favs it right away:
