Drawn on the Ninja Monkey Oekaki, this is Kai for ~neriko.

From Kai's character notes (copied with permission):
Kai is... a male version of Kairi, from a Kingdom Hearts where instead of Princesses, there were Princes. Instead of the maidens from Disney being hunted down by Ansem (who was female in his world, btw), it was the Prince Charmings who were claimed. Instead of taking on traits of a 'Pure Maiden', he took on traits of a 'Pure Prince'. Sora and Riku were both girls as well. While not everything was reversed (Cloud was still a guy, Leon was still a guy, ect) Sora, Riku, Kairi and Ansem were, as were the people who could be gathered to open the 'Heart of All Worlds'.

I've never heard that take on KH before. I think it rather interesting. Kairi's male counterpart looks awesome.

Thank you ^^ Kairi gets so little attention save as the damsel in distress. I thought it was interesting what a male would do in her position. I was tickled that the player combined Sora and Riku's wardrobes for Kai's own, too.

Credit goes all to ~neriko I just put the thoughts on paper ^^ (er... oekaki. Whatever.)

The lack of attention Kairi gets might be due to the fact that I think a lot of people hate her. ^^; I never did really get into the Kaira-warpath-spirit, though.

Alot of people view them as cheap drawings because they're not in a very clean media (as in very jaggy...).

Yeah. Kairi just didn't get much development and then when she did do something in the game it was just ...eh, okay, whatever. ^^;

I think as a character she deserved better. Squall/Leon got more screen time than she did x_x That's just a sin.
