FFMUX: Zidane in Baronwear

This is picture made for my personal reference. As I play him on FFMUX, Zidane was visiting Baron on Rosa's invitation. While there, he outfitted himself in something more relevant to local fashion. This is the result.

It's so damn frustrating trying to look for clothing reference from Final Fantasy IV. It seems all the guys are wearing armor or more "eastern" styles like Yang and Edge. I ended up basing this on what the "period" clothing seemed to be, mixed with fantasy. Zidane didn't end up as fabulous as Edward, thank goodness, but the cape still looks silly to me XD Have you noticed just about everyone in the FFIV universe wears a cape! wtf.

People were making so many jokes based on the codpiece. In the colored version it doesn't look nearly as big as the LINEART.

I totally phoned in the background, using an altered photo of a garden. I'm not disappointed by the results, though. I hope you enjoy it, all told.
